Electrode is coated with a consumable electrode arc welding power coating used. It is composed of two core coating and welding parts.

Due to high temperature arc, some alloying elements contained in the weld metal are burnt (oxidized or nitrided), this would reduce the mechanical properties of the weld. Through the addition of alloy or pure alloying elements in the electrode drug skin, making the skin with the drug melting transition to the weld metal to go to make up the burning of alloying elements and improve the mechanical properties of the weld metal.
